Raising funding for Wireless Network

Fundraising!

Wireless networks are almost a necessity today, no matter what organisation or business you belong to. In order to be truly successful you need to be able to connect to the Internet easily and also to have a well structured network for all of your internal needs. Perhaps you are at a stage in your business where you really need a wireless network as soon as possible in order to grow, or even just to keep your organisation up and running. Wireless networks can be quite expensive to set up initially and you may have to raise the necessary funding first before you can start shopping around.

Wireless Network Fundraising is the process of gathering money or useful gifts together from a variety of different people and organisations, generally in order to reach a specific goal or purchase a certain product. While 'fundraising' as such typically refers to the gathering of funds for a non profit group or a charity; fundraising can really refer to any organisation or business, profitable or otherwise, that needs to develop capital for an idea or a product.
You may work for a non profit charity who needs a wireless network, or perhaps you run a business that requires this infrastructure in order to expand and grow. You may even wish to set up a community non profit wireless network for the benefit of your town or village. No matter what your end goal happens to be, there are ways for your organisation to raise the funding that you need.

Fundraising ideas are numerous so it is important to find a solution that works well for you and your organisation. There are professional fundraising companies who may be able to help you to come up with the money you need, for a price of course. These companies may ask to be paid either a flat fee or a percentage of the funds they manage to get for you. However you must be careful as it is actually forbidden for a company to raise funds for you and then retain a percentage for themselves. This is documented under the Code of Ethics of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). When gathering funding for your wireless network you will have to take all of these things into consideration.

The raising of funds can occur in many ways from putting on a fundraising event to setting up a sale or raffle or getting a business loan from a bank; it really depends on the scale and type of your group. Many organisations are also now involved in some internet fund raising where they employ some of the same tactics used by internet marketers. Whether you are a profitable or a non profit organisation you will need to work out exactly where you expect your funds to come from. A non profit group may be able to collect from the community as a whole, whereas a business will have a hard time doing this. If a profitable business wants to develop a wireless network but doesn't want to get a bank loan, they will have to develop a list of people who may be able to help, either as investment partners or by donation.
